Sweet Tilda

The other day I was shopping at Hobby Lobby and found this material. I loved the colors and bought some even though I didn't have a project for it. I decided to make a babt quilt with it. I was browsing the paper section at Hobby Lobby and found they had paper in the same pattern as the material.

Here is my card using the coordinating paper. I used this older Tilda. This is one of the first Magnolias I owned.

Stampin & Scrappin with Jacilynn

Today is my turn to host Stampin N Scrappin at KLSNS. My 1st project is a purse with a Nestabilities flower. I cut the bag out with my Cricut and used a HH Bunny Love stamp from KLSNS. The Basic Grey paper and Nestabilities are also available in the store.

Practical Scrapper wants to see Brads this week.
Die Cuts R Us & Simon Says Stamp's Challenge is Love.
Stamp with Fun Challenge is Hearts.

And now for details on how to make the Nestability flowers. You can use Nestabilities or any circle punch or die. This flower works great with two sided design paper.

Cut 8 circles from Double sided Design Paper. I used my smallest circle Nestie. Since I wanted to use Basic Grey paper, which is only one sided I had to cut 16 circles (8 of two colors of paper) and glued together.

I folded the edges up so they overlap slightly and come to a point at the bottom. And add your 8 folded pieces into a circle.
Embellish center of flower or leave plain. Have a Happy Wednesday.

Killing birds with stones...again

I haven't had much time to craft lately and I got my new summer Magnolia kit. I've been wanting to play with these for the past week and finally got my chance. I tried to fit in a few challenges when making this card. Stamp Something's challenge is pink, green, & yellow. I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday. Roses on Paper theme is Summer. And I paper pieced Tilda's Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow poka dot swim suit. Even though you can't tell from this pic, the yellow paper has a light print on it and I thought it would show up more. Paper piecing is Simon Says Stamps theme.

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, I'm gonna have to spend some time learning more about my camera. I have a nice camera and am not using it to it's potential. Thank for stopping by today.

Happy Birthday Cake

My favorite 3 colors are Pink, Red, & Orange. I didn't think you should combine these until a few years ago when my SIL had these colors for her wedding. Her bouquet was red, orange and pink Gerber Daisies. It was beautiful.

I did this card for my Sis, who's Bday is coming up. I combined my 3 favortie colors on the cake. I used this Magnolia Cake image that Linda sent me. She's the sweetest BTW.

I did this card for a couple of challenges. KL Stampin N Scrappin is doing a challenge and giving a way an amazing prize. Spellbinders Alphabet dies!!!!!! All you have to do is make something using an item they sell, which is a no brainer cause they carry all the best stuff. Magnolias, CB's nesties, BG etc etc. I used Tilda w/ Tag which they carry in their store!!!!

And I used the sketch from Cupcake Craft Challenge . And Papertake Weekly which is a recipe of : ribbon, circle, & image. Easy Cheesy!

Thanks for stopping by and Thanks for all the wonderful, sweet, kind comments!

Katharina's Sketch-HH

I used Katharina's Sketch from the High Hopes Challenge Blog to make this little card. I don't own any High Hopes Stamps, (everyone gasps) but I just love all their images.

As you noticed from post below, I won some candy this week and couldn't wait to use this gorgeous Basic Grey paper that I received. Speaking of Basic Grey did you know there was a challenge blog for BG? I just found this out.

The circle that Tilda is sitting on was made by weaving 1/2 inch strips of paper together, then I glued a little, then I cut with my Nestabilities. I mounded weaved circle on brown card stock and then stitched with my sewing machine. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love all the great comments!!!!

I love looking at Kraftin Kimmie's blog. She makes really fun cute cards. It's her Birthday this week. Happy Birthday Kim! She's doing some challenges this week and one is to use pattern paper & hearts. So this little box fits.

CCT theme is Valentine's. I made this little truffle box for Valentine's Day. My sister makes the most delicious truffles & I'm going to give it a whirl. I used my nestabilities for the top & bottom of box. The sweet cupcake image is from magnolia. Sentiment is SU So Very & flourishes is SU noteworthy. Happy Valentines Day. Here's a truffle recipe

nuts, cocoa, coconut or chocolate to dip them in
(flavoring such as mint, orange, cherry can be added)

melt chocolate set aside. Beat in softened cream cheese in separate bowl. Add Sugar. Add Vanilla. After all mixed add melted chocolate. Refrigerate 1 hour. Shape into balls. Roll in desired coating or dip in chocolate. Makes 5 dozen
