KLSNS Challenge SKETCh

Today we have a sketch challenge for you at KLSNS. Jodi provided the sketch this week. I used a couple High Hopes images from the KLSNS store. I made this card for my FIL for Father's Day. I kept it pretty simple since in was for a man. I don't know about you but for some reason when I make a guy card I always leave it kinda plain.

Kelly has an AWESOME sale going on at KLSNS. 50% off most items in the store. The code is CLEANUP.

Charisma Challenge is One for the Boys.
High Hopes Challenge is Anything Goes.
SSS has a Boy theme on PCP.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Saturday

My sweeties card

I'm posting the Valentines card I made for my Hubby since I know he NEVER checks my blog. lol I have to admit that not many of my family and friends know about this blog. Since I started it, I kinda like having a little virtual escape with great friends from around the world that is separate from my everyday life.

I used TGF digi's. I have to admit I have such a thing for actual rubber stamping but the biggest advantage to digis is resizing them. Some images out there are sooooo huge! I love making a big 6x6 card but find myself not mailing these out due to not knowing how much the postage is.

I used some Christmas leftovers from Imaginesce, which is the theme at DCRU challenge. I also followed the sketch from Stamp Something. I know this is a valentines card but Anya/Ian are bundled up so nice it looks like Winter to me, which is Roses on Paper theme.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Squiggle Stamps Guest Design Team

I'm so excited to be a guest Designer for Squiggle Stamps this month. I love the fun images. If you haven't seen their images you should go take a look. I used Snowflake Daisy for this card and some Imaginisce paper.

I borrowed the sketch from SFOS and the color combo from Copic Colour Challenge.
I didn't have R85 so I used R46. SSS wanted a Thank you. DD wants to see felt, like my snowflake.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy Monday!

TGF but not a digi

So, finally a TGF card but not a digi project. I've really been loving using the fabulous digital kits for scrapbooking projects but have been dying to ink up this new Anya set that has been sitting on my craft spot for weeks and weeks.

I used Dressy Miss Anya and this cottage from Alota. I thought they went perfect together. SSS wants to see some sparkle so I used the pearls and her shoes have a rhine stone on them. Also Copic Colour Challenge wants to see colors R20, YG06, & E33 ( I had to improvize on the YG06 since I don't own it).

Thanks for stopping by today! We had a fabulous Halloween. My kiddies got more candy than they could eat in a year!

Baseball Pic & TGF announcement

A few months ago, I bought this image Baseball Ian, I printed a copy out and started to make a card. I had him all colored and then set my card aside to go cook dinner. The next day I returned to finish my card and the colored image was gone. I searched my craft space high and low and it was gone! So I'm imagining little tiny fairies that live in my house who steal things just to drive me crazy. I wasn't far off, except it wasn't fairies it was kiddies. I asked my daughter if she had seen a baseball pic and she said yes, ran to my son's room and retrieved it for me. The little beast liked this baseball Ian so much that he totally stole it. LOL I'll check with the kids first from now on, instead of creating fictional characters that live in my house and steal things.

So I decided to make him a picture for his wall with this little baseball Ian on it. I had stitched the red on the baseball, that's why they are going two different directions!

And now for my announcement. I've been accepted on The Greeting Farm Digital Creative Team. I'm super excited. I love everything about TGF and I'm sure the Digital items are going to be fabulous. Stay tuned!

Couple of cards

Hope you had a great Mother's Day! Today is another Whimsy Challenge. The theme is flower power. Easy huh? We've changed the rules a little to get more people involved. If you don't have a Whimsy image you can still play along for the prize, but if you do use a Whimsy image, you can get a double entry into the drawing! How cool is that? Hope over and see all the eye candy created by the fabulous DT! And join in

My little sugar pie loves High School Musical. She's such a little dancer/singer. I saw a challenge over at Club Anya the theme is Dance. So this is what popped into my head.
The black DP is DCWV. The other HSM papers are made by me with my printer.

I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers. Happy Blogaversary to them this week.I wanted to show a close up of the pom poms on this Gabriella. I made from yarn. Thanks for stopping by today!

Case of the Curious Card!!

Hi There! I took my daughter to Hannah Montana The Movie this weekend. She loves Hannah Montana and loves to sing and dance along with her. Needless to say she LOVED the movie and I actually enjoyed it also. I thought it was a really cute movie. So that's the inspiration for my card. She loved this card and she made one of her own.

I am seriously in love with these Greeting Farm images. I recently bought a couple Anya/Ian's and love playing with them. I joined in on the Greeting Farm Blog challenge "The Case of the Curious Card". I used Rockstar Anya and added some hair so she would look like Hannah Montana. I wanted to add text in a circle before I cut with my Nesties. I didn't exactly know how to do this, so 1/2 an hour later i figured out how to do this in Photoshop.

A few reminders, Hop on over to the Whimsy Challenge, there is a stamp up for grabs and good odds to win! Also The Digi Shack sketch challenge is still going on. You can win 5 free downloads by following sketch and using the free image (ends 4/21). Also Dog Gone Stamps is having a Dog Blog Walk 4/25 so make sure to join in for a chance to win some prizes.

Also, Katharina is giving away 2!!! Summer Wof J kits! ends 5/1 woohoo

Yippie Ki Yay- Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card to send to my brother for Valentines. Sentiment is computer Generated. I have no idea what the paper is, it has been in my stash for a while. Also I pulled this wire mesh out of my stash and decided to use on the card.

CCT challenge is to use metal, so I incorporated this mesh into my card. I'm going to be a guest designer for Cute Card Thursday coming up, which is so cool. When I told my husband, he looked at me like I was nuts. I tried to explain challenge blogs, but he totally didn't get what it was and why I was excited. He's a lovely supportive husband, I just think I should not try to give him all the details. Ya know what I mean?

Also, Dutch Dare's Challenge is a love card without red & pink. Technically I used a burgandy, which is a shade of red, but not plain red. So, it should work.
I told you I like to double up on the challenges that let you. I get to make cards maybe once a week, so I love when I can double up.

DinoMite Birthday

This is another Magnolia I got for Christmas. I only have a few Edwins and wanted this little guy since it will be so versatile. I love this paper from Reminisce. I bought it for a scrapbook page for my little guy and had some scraps. Edwin's Dino is from SU set Toy Box. (one of my all time favorite SU sets! The Dinosaur is pop dotted onto Edwin's hand.

Ryan's Bookmark- Harry Birthday

My BIL Ryan is having a birthday. I made him this Harry Potter Bookmark. I love love love the HP Books. Ryan loves to read, but refuses to join the bandwagon and read the HP books. He and I go round and round about this. It's quite funny actually. So I decided to make him this HP bookmark just to be obnoxious! I added the sentiment about "Harry Birthday" just to be really obnoxious.

The paper piecing was make using my original sizzix doll dies. I included a picture of all my Harry Potter Paper dolls I've made. I also have a Hagrid that is not pictured and is sooo cute. I started making these HP dolls 4 years ago and many people have shown interest in them for their scrapbooking projects. Now I have the doll cartridge for my Cricut and the dolls are very similar and have many clothing options.

Birthday Calendar Project

This is another version of the Birthday Calendar I posted earlier. I got a new Zutter machine, that does binding for projects. It is so much fun to use and I can't wait to use it for more future projects. On the cover of the Calendar, I used a punch, which fits the Cute Card Thursday
Challenge this week. I used Prima Flowers, buttons, brads, & Ribbon. To make the pages of the calendar I used mostly quickutz. Don't you just love Quickutz? I think they have some of the cutest designs out there for die cuts. I used the computer to make the month pages and stitched around them.

Gianna's Birthday Cards

I wanted to show an invitation my 4 year old daughter made for her little Brother's Birthday Party. We used this adorable stamp from Alota ( one of my very favorites). She did the coloring, which I thought was so adorable to have her make these for her brothers party. She loves Card Making with me and I thought this was the perfect chance to have her help. She punched the stars, colored, and glued together all by herself. Of course Mom helped with the cutting. Thanks for looking.

Christmas Gifts!!

I wanted to show a little Christmas project I've been working on. This is a family Birthday Calendar and it will be framed so it can be hung on the wall. All these adorable paper piecings are from a hand drawn pattern. So I cut out each piece and assembled. I stitched around each month Block and added outlines to some pieces with my favorite Making Memories Pens. I just love these pens for outlining anything and everything I get my hands on. The whole project is 11X14. I have an ever expanding family, so I added birthdays on these paper strips, so I can add new birthdays when needed. I'm working on a variation of this project and will post when it's finished.

Whooo Had a birthday?

I used this sweet owl image again for a Birthday Card for my Dad. I tend to make something and like it, so I either use the paper or stamp again. You might not be able to tell but I have large quantities of my stash that get neglected becuase of that fact. DP is DCWV glitter stack.

Wise Men

I just got this stamp from Stampendous. They have a few Christmas Nativity stamps and they are all adorable. This card is extra sparkly. The green DP has sparkles, the Blue CS has sparkles (DCWV sparkle stack) and I added stickles.

Since this is so sparkly it fits Papertake weekly challenge.
This also fits Cute Card Thursday Challenge, which is to use Red & Green.
