KLSNS Challenge--Organic

We have a new challenge for you today at KLSNS and it is "ORGANIC." I used some hemp twine on my card. This new CC Design is just adorable and i paired it with some yummy Basic Grey Sugar Rush. Basic Grey papers are so addictive and so easy. I love how they coordinate and take the work out of matching papers ;) I also added some buttons and used a Sanford Signo Pen. Have you tried this Pen? It is fabulous. I love it. Hope you can play along with us. You have until next Friday to link up your project using an ORGANIC item.

I have a confession...Someone gave my DD a package of these diamond butterflies. They are intended to go in your hair. Well it seemed like it would be disastrous to put these things in DD hair. I can image the twists and tangles and that I would possibly have to remove with scissors! So needless to day, I appreciate the thought, but these will not be going in DD hair. Instead they make the perfect embellishment on my crafts ;) Don't worry I didn't leave DD empty handed. I traded her some candy for them...after all she is 5 and candy trumps just about everything :)

Challenges I'm entering:
Paper Play- Shiny People
Quixotic- Spring

Hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Our new bundle of joy has arrived! Here is a picture of our sweet baby. We feel so blessed to have her in our home.

I needed to make some Thank You's for all the gifts we have received for our new baby girl. I used the animal patterns I found off of Paper Crafts site. I paired them with some yummy Cosmo Cricket papers and distressed the edges.

I'm joining in on a few challenges this week.
SSS wants to see girly/mother
CCC wants to see a celebration theme, which these Thank you's are definitely celebrating our good news!

Truffle Box

I love looking at Kraftin Kimmie's blog. She makes really fun cute cards. It's her Birthday this week. Happy Birthday Kim! She's doing some challenges this week and one is to use pattern paper & hearts. So this little box fits.

CCT theme is Valentine's. I made this little truffle box for Valentine's Day. My sister makes the most delicious truffles & I'm going to give it a whirl. I used my nestabilities for the top & bottom of box. The sweet cupcake image is from magnolia. Sentiment is SU So Very & flourishes is SU noteworthy. Happy Valentines Day. Here's a truffle recipe

Easy Truffle Recipe:
18 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate
8oz cream cheese
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
nuts, cocoa, coconut or chocolate to dip them in
(flavoring such as mint, orange, cherry can be added)

melt chocolate set aside. Beat in softened cream cheese in separate bowl. Add Sugar. Add Vanilla. After all mixed add melted chocolate. Refrigerate 1 hour. Shape into balls. Roll in desired coating or dip in chocolate. Makes 5 dozen

Choo Choo

This is a pretty simple card. The set is from Stampin Up and I think it is so adorable. I borrowed from my MIL and wanted to practice coloring. The orange card is from Archievers, I'm drawing a blank on what they are actually called. Colored with copics. Cute Card Thursday has an open challenge this week, so this is my submission. Thanks for taking a look.
