How about a SALE? As a reminder ABC Toys & Crafts offers free shipping on all clear stamps and carries brands like Stampaive, Hero Arts, Penny Black, My Cute Stamps & More

Click on any of the pics below to see more details of the items I used for my card. Thanks for stopping by today!

Journal

Last year we started writing in a journal with my then 4 year old daughter. She would dictate what she wanted us to write. It's so cute that she can now start to form words into a sentence by herself. So she writes a few lines herself and then I write the rest for her. The last thing she had me write last night was "I can jump." It was so random that my hubby and I couldn't help but laugh.

I bought a cheap book at the dollar store for her to use. Yesterday I noticed the pages were falling out and so I decided I needed to make her a journal. I used the sketch over at the WofJ Challenge for the cover.

This week OCC wants to see a project inspired by a journal. SS wants to see a school themed project-aka reading. SSS wants to see Red & Green.

Hope you all had a nice Monday!

Baseball Pic & TGF announcement

A few months ago, I bought this image Baseball Ian, I printed a copy out and started to make a card. I had him all colored and then set my card aside to go cook dinner. The next day I returned to finish my card and the colored image was gone. I searched my craft space high and low and it was gone! So I'm imagining little tiny fairies that live in my house who steal things just to drive me crazy. I wasn't far off, except it wasn't fairies it was kiddies. I asked my daughter if she had seen a baseball pic and she said yes, ran to my son's room and retrieved it for me. The little beast liked this baseball Ian so much that he totally stole it. LOL I'll check with the kids first from now on, instead of creating fictional characters that live in my house and steal things.

So I decided to make him a picture for his wall with this little baseball Ian on it. I had stitched the red on the baseball, that's why they are going two different directions!

And now for my announcement. I've been accepted on The Greeting Farm Digital Creative Team. I'm super excited. I love everything about TGF and I'm sure the Digital items are going to be fabulous. Stay tuned!

Whimsy "Folds" DT card

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I got a new spiffy bike this weekend and that lead to my kids harassing me about going for a bike ride all weekend. It was 106 degrees here on Saturday which is not my idea of bike riding weather. We waited til the evening when it was a very little bit cooler and took the kids for a ride. They loved it. I was dripping sweat by the end of it.
Today is a Whimsy Challenge and the theme is "Folds". You can join in even if you don't have a Whimsy image. Prizes will be drawn Monthly. I used some Basic Grey paper I won from Scrappy Frogs Challenge. Also, Pile it on's challenge is orange and Whimsy. Pink Elephant wants to see a animal theme project. I used Whimsy Narwal. I had a discussion with my hubby about whether this is a real or fictional animal. I said I think it's real. Anyone know the answer to this? LOL

Killing birds with stones...again

I haven't had much time to craft lately and I got my new summer Magnolia kit. I've been wanting to play with these for the past week and finally got my chance. I tried to fit in a few challenges when making this card. Stamp Something's challenge is pink, green, & yellow. I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday. Roses on Paper theme is Summer. And I paper pieced Tilda's Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow poka dot swim suit. Even though you can't tell from this pic, the yellow paper has a light print on it and I thought it would show up more. Paper piecing is Simon Says Stamps theme.

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, I'm gonna have to spend some time learning more about my camera. I have a nice camera and am not using it to it's potential. Thank for stopping by today.

My last Digi Shack DT card

Today is another Digi Shack challenge. The theme is yellow poka dots. My card is CAS, no design paper. I haven't had a lot of craft time lately, so I kept this simple.

This is my last card as a DT member for The Digi Shack. My term has ended and things have gotten busier for me lately, so I'm saying goodbye to Toni and the Maui Wowies.

SFOS's challenge is hearts, so I'm sending this their way also. Also, Creative Card Crew, want to see some ribbons.

Tomorrow I have a scrapbook layout to show you. Yep, I've actually been scrapbooking lately. And I am a guest designer for EAD Designs this month and want to show you some of their super products on my layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
