Stamp Something for Jaime

Today is the Stamp Something for Jaime aka Spread the Love Blog Hop. When I received an email asking me to participate in this hop, my answer.. ABSOLUTELY. What a touching story about Jaime. Please go to the Stamp Something for Jaimie blog for her full story. She is a young girl who has recently been touched by tragedy. She has lost her Mother to a random act of violence and fought for her own life. My love goes out to her as well as my prayers.

If you've stumbled upon my blog, the first stop on the hop is Katharia. If you are on the hop, you came from Giovana's blog.

Next stop on the hop is the super sweet Debbie. Please join us in supporting this wonderful young woman.

Truffle Box

I love looking at Kraftin Kimmie's blog. She makes really fun cute cards. It's her Birthday this week. Happy Birthday Kim! She's doing some challenges this week and one is to use pattern paper & hearts. So this little box fits.

CCT theme is Valentine's. I made this little truffle box for Valentine's Day. My sister makes the most delicious truffles & I'm going to give it a whirl. I used my nestabilities for the top & bottom of box. The sweet cupcake image is from magnolia. Sentiment is SU So Very & flourishes is SU noteworthy. Happy Valentines Day. Here's a truffle recipe

Easy Truffle Recipe:
18 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate
8oz cream cheese
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
nuts, cocoa, coconut or chocolate to dip them in
(flavoring such as mint, orange, cherry can be added)

melt chocolate set aside. Beat in softened cream cheese in separate bowl. Add Sugar. Add Vanilla. After all mixed add melted chocolate. Refrigerate 1 hour. Shape into balls. Roll in desired coating or dip in chocolate. Makes 5 dozen

Merry Christmas to me!

For Christmas my Hubby gave me some new Magnolia's & I got some new Nestabilities. Yay!!! It's so much fun to get stuff you want for Christmas, so I created a little list of items I wanted. Anyone else do this??
Here's a card I did using some of my new stuff. DP is DCWV & has some cute sparkles to it, I colored with Copics. I added Sparkles to the cupcake frosing & outlined cardstock with Gelly Roller. Sentiment is Stampin up "So Very".

BabyGirl Card in Untraditonal Colors

I made this baby card for my Sister Becca. It is for a baby girl (Tomorrow is the day we meet her sweet new baby girl) but I wanted to use orange on it which is kinda untraditonal. I'm so addicted to coloring with Copics. Also addicted to Magnolia's. They totally make my day when I see them. Copics color like a dream even if I'm not the greatest at it yet. I'd own them all if they weren't so spendy. The colors are really autumn-ish (orange, yellow, brown) which is what Papertake Weekly's challenge is this week.

Thinking of You

I wanted to show this card, I made a while ago. I know it's not perfect, but it is so meaningful to me. I made this card for our dear friends when they lost their little Katie. She was such a sweet girl and amazed us all. She will be in our thoughts forever.

This was one of my first attempts with Copic markers and I didn't have a very wide selection of colors, so the coloring is kinda rough. I had to use some water based markers for the colors I was lacking. I also wanted to show this card because in just a few attempts I am improving my coloring skills. (hopefully, you will notice a change in my coloring with future posts) I've only been using Copic markers for a few weeks and am slowing getting the hang of things. I'm definately still learning!
