I got a little crafty time in today

So, if you stop by my blog very often, you probably realize I've been posting a lot less lately. With summer and a few life changes I haven't had tons of crafting time lately. I finally got a chance to make a couple cards today.

I had this idea to make a grungy/muted background and a bright/colorful Anya. I intended on antiquing the paper and using aqua painters for just a hint of color in the background, but when I went to find my aqua painters they were..... GONE. I have a suspicion as to where it went. I have a 5 year old that is obsessed with the things. So I sponged on a little color instead.
Needless to say it didn't turn out quite as I imagined, I'll have to try this again some time.

Roses on Paper wants to see Hearts, check out Anya's bucket and scarf. Scrappy Frogs wants a Magnolia stamp, check out the flowers on the background (from summer kit). Simon Says stamp wants some distressing, sooooo easy, I love it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous! I love the background you have created - (how annoying for you that your aqua painters went walkabouts!). This Anya has got to be one of the happiest stamps about- she makes me smile whenever I see her. I love the little butterfly on her headscarf.
Have a lovely day Jacilynn.

Looks like a pig farmer I once knew! LOL I think its grungy just fine and put Gianna's ear to the screen: "Sweetie put mommy's toys back when you are done and no one gets in trouble" hehehehehe
